Do you know of any meds for colds that are presently on hold? I'd like to make sure I've cleared our med kit of all of those. I read some articles online, and would really like to find out what other medications there are that I shouldnt take anymore.
All that I know about it, i got from here. http://www.greenclassnotice.com/coldmd I hope this is helpful. If there are other over the counter medications that you know of, please inform me as well.
Hi! I don't have an answer to your question, but I have some guidance from a few people I trust deeply:
Boyfriend - says when you start to feel sick (cold, slightly feverish, etc) "sweat it out." he's an avid hockey player and overall active person, and him and his friends are seriously the healthiest people I know! they all follow this tip and whenever they start to get the sniffles, they recup faster than I've ever seen anyone to do.
Family friend - he's a health book publisher and nutritionist and is a true believer in vitamins and fluids. he only takes medications if they're homeopathic bc he hates putting chemically engineered anything in his body. anyway, he's told me for years that whenever i feel something coming on to 1) take a multivitamin or at least a vitamin c 2) keep a giant water bottle by my side to sip throughout the day 3) have liquid meals - he loves Natural Harvest soups, fruit juices that don't have added sugars (Naked Juice is great bc many flavors have vitamin and protein boosts and don't use any added real or fake sweeteners so they are nutritionally balanced 4) a good night's sleep of at least a solid 8 hrs.
Though each of their remedies sound really different at first, the point of both of them is to let the sickness pass through your body naturally. First way, you sweat it out quickly, and second way, you basically pee it out through the day. HOpe that helps!
