WEGO Health

Well gang,

I had my first appointment with a new neurologist yesterday and it was unimaginable!

This man looked at me, shook both arms, told me to hang on to the side of the table and hold on hard. Naturally the tremors stopped because for me if I can hold onto something and squeeze very hard, the tremors do stop.

He told me I don't have dystonia, parkinson's, or any other type of illness and what an act I was putting on to get out of working for a living. He told me he couldn't help me and good luck!

Walked out to the nurse's desk, paid $400 consulation fee, walked out and cried.

I could not believe this man thought I was putting on an act and he is one of the top guns in New Jersey!

Now what??

Hi Ellen,

Thanks for the reply. No he is a neurologist at one of the top hospitals in New Jersey. I just spent a week there because of an uncontrolled panic attack. The company that I was working for has revoked my unemployment benefits and now I have absolutely no income coming in. This doctor looked at the tremors which by the time I got to the hospital were so out of control, I was admitted for having either a panic attack or mental breakdown. He wouldn't even listen to me about the problems I have with dystonia.
This has been a nightmare. First I lose my regular doctor for political reasons and now this guy thinks I am a nutcase.
What worries me is what happens when my meds run out? Who am I going to get them from?

Thanks
Donna
