WEGO Health

In my blog post of the same name - I mentioned the difficulties that caregivers face. I thought it would be good to start a new discussion where we could list online (or other) resources that you'd recommend to anyone who was becoming a caregiver or wanted to learn more about what caregiving entails. How would you answer the following questions:

What do you think would make the role of caregivers easier?
Do you think that health care reform or governmental reform of some sort could positively impact caregivers?
Do you think there should be more available options besides relative caregivers or nursing homes?
By the year 2029, every baby boomer will be over 65 and thus susceptible to Alzheimer's—what changes should be made before that time comes around?
In lieu of the "the information age," the internet, and social media—do you feel positive about awareness?
With a disease as mysterious as Alzheimer's—how do you keep busy and hopeful with current available tools?
Who do you admire in your online communities?

I just came across this very comprehensive video by the University of California Television called "The Paradox of Alzheimer's Caregiving." It shares different stories of caregivers and spouses and highlights some of the symptoms, how people respond to diagnoses, and other details. Let me know what you think:
