twistdsunshine,
I'd like to make a suggestion that if you can, it might be a good idea to get allergy tested. What you are experiencing with the almonds and walnuts could be oral allergy syndrome because of the seasonal allergies you have, but because they are tree nuts (a potentially severe allergy) your symptoms could also be something more severe. An allergist can tell you exactly what you are allergic to and if the nuts/tree nuts are a cause for concern. Also, an allergist can prescribe the correct medication/dosage for you and maybe the Allergra that you are taking is not enough. A nasal spray may need to be added during severe pollen times.

Hi Ericalee. Actually I've not been tested. When I was a child I remember walking to the store to get my RX myself ha. Bet they wouldnt let a child pick up at a pharmacy now. So far from what I can tell Juniper, Cedar and Elder seem to be in there air when I have the most trouble. I'd say mine are worst then most peoples because it seems some days nothing helps. I also suffer from eczema so I'm sure I have other allergies as well as cleaning products and most gloves irritate it. I can't peel a potato it would kill my hands. Although I know its probably not the potato itself its the stuff on the outside. Like cantelope makes my mouth itch but its sooo good ha. Almonds and walnuts make my mouth slightly itchy as well.

Hi Twistdsunshine -- Have you had an allergy test? I found it really helpful. I'd always assumed my allergies were seasonal, for example, and had no idea that I'm also allergic to dust/mold. Plus, you may be allergic to pollens that aren't tracked. You reminded me that my allergy time is just about to start :)

When my allergies have been really unbearable (and triggering my asthma), steroid nasal sprays were really "miracle drugs." The last one I used was Flonase several years back. They worked when nothing else did, including prescription pills. Leery as I am of steroids, they were the only thing that helped me function -- and breathe!

Hi Everyone! I'm new and stumbled on this site while I searched for allergy help. I've struggled with hayfever and allergies since I was a small child. I started watching pollen.com and narrowed down a few of the things bothering me. I'm searching for a sheet to document my allergies. I may just make a table in Word but if anyone knows of something I could use please send me a note! I just want to document what allergens are in the air, what my symptoms are each day that I have an issue. Today its so bad I had to take 2 180mg Allegra's!!!! Probably not recommended lol but my eyes are going nutso!
