Torticollis pain in my neck, shoulders & back of my head is the most excrutiating pain I have ever endured. Nothing alleviates the cramping, jerking, twisting, jabbing/stabbing, burning, elec shock feeling, spasming, rocking back & forth all the time...constantly without ceasing. Sometimes I wish I would just go ahead & die to get out of the misery for more than 20 years now...if not for my mom, daughter & granddaughter, I probably would not be sitting here trying to type with my head pulled downward over my right shoulder & drastically jerking back & forth. For anyone with dystonia/torticollis of any type you have my deepest empathy & sympathy!

I had 2 back surgerys. They want me to go for 3 I say no way 2 was enough and I still feel them same as I did in the beginning. My dics are getting worst so what do they think 3 would do? I tryed everything pain clinic's needles that didn't work so they put me on meds they help but I just make it threw the day.

Sorry for the typo- Spinal cord stimulators work better than the "sponal" ones...

A few ideas: How chronic pain affects relationships, sexual issues (physical/psychological), employment issues (unable to/limited by pain), economic effects due to pain limitations, disability/Worker's Comp.,health insurance issues. Also, how patients are being treated- Pain Mgt. specialists, neurologists, primary care MD? Effective meds- any specific meds that have really made a difference in your pain. Modalities such as opiate pumps, TENS, sponal cord stimulators (SCS)- just a few...

I have chronic pain from a back I broke 3 years ago. I also suffer from osteopersosis and 2 ruptured discs. I've had arthritis in my knees, (several surgeries) hands and shoulders/neck. I use a tens unit which numbs my pain but sometimes I just stay in bed. If it's really intense I have to resort to drugs but I try not to. I have had 2 strokes and I suffer from chronic depression and I do think the drugs make it worse. I hope someone has some other ideas.

What types of issues would you like to see discussed on a pain site or a pain blog? What issues do you find are the most important for people who live with pain?

I try to write about the latest news findings and explanations of different pain issues, but I feel like I'm not mining the right type of information - as if I'm missing something. So - what would be the type of information you think would be is the most important?

Thanks!
