Natasha, I've heard and read the opposite is true with anti-depressants. People tend to gain weight not lose it with these drugs. It's a side effect, unfortunately for those of us who want to keep our weight down.

Does anyone have thoughts or experience with resveratrol to help with weight loss and increasing energy?

Also, can anyone recommend a protein powder I can add to hot/cold cereal? I like cereal but it doesn't stay with me and I get a crash in my blood level after a while unless I have protein with carbs.

Has anyone heard of the new one and only FDA approved prescription, Wellbutrin for losing weight? I have a friend who has taken it, but I'm curious...is there anyone on here that has taken it and can you tell me about the positives and negatives of it?

When I was diagnosed with heart disease I had never been told to lose weight. I did not need to lose weight. But with heart disease comes everyone and their uncle telling you to lose weight. It made me go right out and eat! I couldn't get to the fast food drive up quick enough. Five years later I had gained 30 pounds. How is that smart? It has been six months and it has been slow, but I have lost 12 pounds. Healthy slow weight loss. And for the first time in my crazy life of mixed up self image I can accept that I'm okay. Sad I wasted so many years. But, happy birthday to me - I will be 53 in two weeks. My motto, it is never too late or too early to start taking care of yourself.
