WEGO Health

After years of yo-yo'ing, I've finally learned that I have to eat a breakfast with protein and some fat in it -- carb-laden breakfasts just don't work for me. Any ideas for breakfast? I'm getting sick of eggs ...

I love eggs! But I hear ya.

My favorite is Jones lite breakfast sausage. It's all natural and tastes good even in the microwave.

I like Cascadian Farm granola with 2 Tbs. of raw almonds and 1/2 cup skim milk

Plain Greek yogurt with 1/4 cup Cascadian Farm honey granola and 2 Tbs. walnuts

1 whole wheat english muffin with lean canadian bacon and 1 pc of low fat cheese (can add some apple to this for fruit)

2 pcs of whole wheat toast w/ 2 Tbs. of sunflower seed butter

1 apple - quatered and dipped in 2 Tbs. of sunflower seed butter

I'm not much of a breakfast eater (even though I know I should be) so these choices usually give me a good variety.

Those are some great ideas, Janeen -- I LOVE Greek yogurt, so I'm going to try that one first!

My favorite breakfast is (gluten-free) fiber bread, toasted, with peanut butter and apple slices. Healthy carbs, protein, fat and fiber and it is delicious.
