This group was created to provide both a safe and a supportive place for anyone seeking information regarding eating disorders. This group was also created to provide a location for Health Activists in the online Eating Disorder community to come together to discuss news, treatments, therpies and other recovery aspects.


Reasons to join the WEGO Health Eating Disorders community
to discuss news, treatments, therapies and other recovery aspects of eating disorders with other Health Activsits
•to share advice and tips for helping support members and readers of eating disorders communities
•to learn information about any form of eating disorder
•to share experiences or relate with others who have been (or are) in your recovery situation
•to make connections with others seeking the same information


Reasons not to join the WEGO Health Eating Disorders community:
•to share tips on how to lose weight
•to promote other self-destructive behaviors that oftentimes go along with anorexia, bulimia or compulsive overeating (posts/blogs/discussions of these types are would be more appropriately posted in the Mental Health group at WEGO Health)
•to link to negative or triggering websites (sites that could encourage another person to have an eating disorder) including links posted in your profile
•to advertise your own commercial website or organization, the appropriate place for these links is in your profile
•to ask serious medical questions – this board is not a replacement for your doctor or therapist and is not moderated by a physician. For medical emergencies, call 911. For serious medical questions, call your health care provider or one of the hotline numbers listed below

I haven't forgotten about the group - life has been kicking my butt lately and I haven't had time to share the bundle of news that sits in my inbox tagged for this group! What have YOU all seen in the news about eating disorders lately?
