Hi Fit Group! Haven't heard much from you lately. I ran my 10 mile race in August and am now scheduled to do a half marathon (13.1 miles) on Oct. 4th. Unfortunately, my training is not where I would have liked it to be but I am going to attempt it anyway. With school starting, a short vacation and now a frustrating cold, I have not been running much. Oh well, I know I can run 10 right? We will see how the other 3 go.

I bought a bunch of veggies yesterday. Looking forward to some green juice for some energy and to help with the cold.

What is everyone else doing to stay fit right now?

Doing Yoga lately and some strength training. Having some knee problems so I've been taking it easy on the running. Good luck with the training and the 10 mile race :)

Training to run The Crim in August. It is a 10 mile race. Got a 7 mile run in over the weekend. I think I can do 10 by mid-August.

What has everyone else been up too?

Thanks Shannan! I'm excited that I have a plan set up and that I know I have to be careful and FOLLOW it so that I don't get hurt. I think that will help me actually achieve some goals.

I am hoping to run in the Portland 1/2-marathon in October and think I can get myself trained by then. We'll see what happens!

Tuesday.
I can start working out again on TUESDAY.

I am going to take it slow, but TUESDAY is less than two days away. Not that I'm counting or anything.

Couch to 5K to get me back into the swing of things. I cannot wait!

Hi Fit Group,

I just got home from doing a free yoga class at Lululemon Athletica. It is an athletic clothing store that focuses on yoga attire. They do a lot of community work including offering free yoga classes at their stores taught by yoga teachers from local studios. Check it out and see if there is one in your area. www.lululemon.com. It was really fun!

Hi everybody,
Just have to share my pain this morning. Did BodyPump (weight lifing class) on Tuesday and TRX (workout that uses your body weight for resistance) yesterday. I'm sore! Changing up your routine can really give your body a good jolt. Kick/punch is still on the agenda for today. If I can make it through, it should loosen things up a bit.
