WEGO Health

OH MY GOSH! I am super-proud of myself and may have learned something today!

I worked my butt off (hopefully literally) at the gym after work and am feeeeeeling it already!

I did 15 minutes on the stair stepper before I thought I was going to die. That thing is killer! I am going back to it. I will master the stepper. (I thought my legs were strong, but they're not long-lasting. Must work on the endurance.)

I did 18 minutes on the elliptical trainer. Yeehaw!

I did 18 minutes on the recumbent bike. Wheee!

I think I have figured out how to keep myself going in the gym - switch things up in the same workout! I worked myself harder today than I normally do just because I wasn't bored. I'm going to keep that up! 51 minutes of working out is a LONG time for me not to get bored, so I'm stoked!

I am going to have the 30-Day Shred on request from NetFlix. I think it'll be here on Thursday. I am anticipating having my butt kicked by Jillian Michaels then.

But yeah, I just had to share my success story with ya'll!

Hey, great job Sarah!

Not only did you stave off the boredom but you actually challenged your body as well. Switching your exercises/cardio like that is a great way to keep your body working hard. People that do the same old routine stop seeing results after a while. You have to change it up. Sounds like you will be the master!

Congrats Sarah! This is great and knowing this will definitely keep you motivated. I think it's wonderful that you decided to try a new routine and weren't afraid to mix things up on your own. Hard to do sometimes, but you found success! Sometimes even small changes to a workout can be enough to feel noticable results. After a great workout isn't it hard not to get excited about your next one?

That's really good to hear ... I get bored on cardio, too. One thing I'm trying is to swap off cardio with weights -- 10 mins on the elliptical, then some arm stuff, for example; 10 mins on the treadmill, some other weight exercises -- it makes the time go by faster! But the stepper is brutal ... I haven't worked my way back up to that one yet!
