I have been on TPN (parenteral nutrition) through a PICC line for 9 months now. I also use enteral nutrition through a jejunal tube. I was wondering if any others here are on these types of nutrition therapies and how is is going for you?

My doctor was very afraid of infection with the PICC line and had major concern about putting me on chronic TPN. As of today I have never had a line infection and I hope to keep it that way. The Oley Foundation has very good tips for taking care of central lines and tubes and are a wonderful reseource. I had the opportunity to meet many people on Home PEN at their annual meeting this year in San Diego and also met a lot of others with motility disorders. It was a great oppotunity and I definitely suggest checking them out. http://www.oley.org
