WEGO Health

I rated this page today and thought that it had some really excellent information about quitting smoking.
If you are thinking of quitting or already trying I think you will find some tips here to get you through the rough times (and as someone who quit, believe me, there will be rough times but it’s TOTALLY worth it).

Help Guide - How to quit smoking - help, tips, and support

Both of these links can be found on this page at WEGO: http://health-news.wegohealth.com/secondhand-smoke-triggers-child-allergies.html
This is one lifestyle change you will never regret making.

Great post Janeen, thank you for posting the resources! (I sent them on to my mom because she’s talking about quitting her habit!)

I hope that in addition to the allergy health news page that WEGO puts together a topic page devoted specifically to this with tons of links to help people stop smoking. I belong to Yahoo Answers and this is one of the most popular questions there. A lot of people want to quit, but know they might need help to do so. Very few people can actually stop smoking cold turkey without assistance of some sort. So, I think a topic page full of resources would be a great addition to the site. The links you provided are great and I will be sure and include them when the question comes up again.

Paula,
I agree an entire page dedicated to smoking cessation would be a wonderful addition to our healthy life styles section. I thought these two links were a nice place to get started.

This is a great discussion! I want to bring it up again because November is the Great American Smokeout! Does anyone have any great online resources for quitting smoking? Are others in your online communities celebrating the Great American Smokeout? How can we help our friends and community members quit? What helped you?
