The only way I know to explain to people what migraine feels like to me, is to describe it as the worst brain freeze you've ever had, x10, then make it last for hours, days, or weeks.
It therefore caught my attention when I saw this diddy in the
Kansas City Star today:
"Driver says cold drink’s ‘brain freeze’ caused crash"
Yep, the Polar (pun intended) opposite of the McDonalds lawsuit about hot coffee.
It won't bother me any if we suddenly cannot get super cold drinks-- I can't drink anything cold as it will sometimes trigger Migraine, so tepid is how I do most everything. (This is the asian remedy for frequent head pain-- nothing too cold or too hot, and it does seem to help.) The same nerves are involved in each, and I'm told those of us who have frequent headaches of most types along the trigeminal nerve branches often are super-sensitive to this kind of trigger.
Do you find super cooled drinks or popsicles etc trigger Migraine or other headache?
Hmmm, might make an interesting poll!
