Last week, WEGO Health partnered with branding firm Siegel+Gale to survey the general public and Health Activists on their understanding of the President's plan for health care reform.
You can read the full report here (pdf), but the main finding was that most American's don't fully understand the plan.
102 Health Activists participated in the survey last week, but we'd like to hear from everyone, and learn more about what you're seeing online:
Do you think members of your other online health communities have a good understanding of the changes proposed in the President's health care plan?
More specifically: How do you think health care reform would affect people living with Migraine?
Hi, all! No, I do not think people have a good understanding of Obama's health care plan, in online communities or in general! I watch all kinds of news and do all kinds of reading, and I don't understand the health care reform plans.
I took the survey last week, and the questions absolutely convinced me how few details I/we actually know or understand! Also, I thought some of the questions weren't very well written...
There are four or five different bills floating around the Senate and the House, right? And does the President even have a separate and distinct plan? It's all extremely complex, and there are so many useless distractions from the real discussion. Most of the media has done a woefully horrible job of reporting the plans, their details and differences.
We won't know how reform will affect people with migraine or anyone until we know what health care reform we are going to get! Are we going to have real health CARE reform, or just some health INSURANCE regulations that we should have had for many years now?
