WEGO Health

I wrote a blog post tonight about what I would say was a migraine . . . but since I am not/have not been diagnosed with migraines, I would love anyone's input on whether or not the experience I described seems to be a migraine to you.
You can find my blog post here under the title, " Call it Desperation". Thank you so much for your input and for taking the time to read my post.
Blessings,
Amy

Hi Amy,
What you described in your blog post, most definitely sounds like a migraine to me. The watery eye, the intense pain, the inability to move and the "migraine hangover" the next day all sound like what I have experienced in the past. Sometimes I don't know what triggers my migraines, they just seem to happen. Other times it's because I'm not eating well, I'm not sleeping well or the weather has changed (like now!). If you can keep a diary of what is going on in your life and what you are feeling it may help you to determine what triggered it. Your blog is one good diary and Ellen has some good suggestions here. Hope you are feeling better now!!

Thank you Janeen! I appreciate your feedback very much and your suggestion of keeping a diary and Ellen's suggestions as well. I am doing better now, but a little fearful, not knowing if my next headache will turn into another like I most recently experienced. . .not a pleasant experience for sure, but possibly it will help me in my journey to fine tune my life and live healthier!
Blessings to you.

Amy, thanks for telling us about your blog post, which was very interesting. You are a beautiful, expressive writer and such a wonderful person.

Remember, The only one who should diagnose a Migraine is your doctor, and make sure and tell him/her if the symptoms or patterns change. You give a wonderful description of your experience...

I do hope you're feeling much better this weekend. I've thought about you often the last few days. :)

Thanks for reading my post, Ellen, and thank you for the sweet compliments!

Also, such a good and important reminder about needing to see the doc for a diagnosis!

I have seemed to have had a rough week or so, but I am thinking I might be at the beginning of coming out of it. Keeping all fingers and toes crossed, along with my prayers and thanks to God!

Hi Amy,
I looked at your blog and although the numbers aren't cast in stone yet, I have seen a certain percentage of my patients with migraine who also have fibromyalgia..more research needed in that area.

A migraine by definition is throbbing pain, you want to lie down and not move..the light bothers you a bit and you may feel nauseated. Even if you weren't nauseated, if you can't eat during the headache phase, that infers low level nausea. The fatigue the next day is the "postdromal" phase.

If this is a new onset of migraine for you, please discuss with your doctor as they may want to order a CT or MRI of the brain. You can read more about migraine headache symptoms and see if this fits you.

Hope you are well..
