- Thyroid cancer 1981. Now dealing with breast cancer diagnosed in 2007. Been through chemo and radiation. Now I have all sorts of digestive issues as well including a hiatal hernia and gallstones that were removed and a bulging disk in my back.

Its been a long time
Its been a very long time since my last post. I was looking forward to a year of healthy living but am not enjoying it. I am dealing with a lot of back pain issues - have had two cortisone injections, tried PT, anti-inflammatories, etc. Now I am on pain meds and anti-inflammatories and trying to get the pain issues under control so they can try more options - lumbar fractal block, etc.

Its 2009
Its 2009. What do I resolve to do? Be healthier, go to the doctor less, lose weight, and get a job. I may not be very original but I think this is what is important to me. I want 2009 to be a healthier year for me. I have been dealing with my latest cancer since May 2007 and I think its time to move on. I want to go to the doctor less. Every doctor visit is a little trip around the evil roller coaster. I finally caught a three month break in doctor appointments - but ended up back at the doctor… Continue

I just read your spotlight interview. Thanks so much for sharing your story. And thanks for sharing the information on how someone dealing with cancer wants to be treated. I think most of us just don't know. It isn't that we don't care, we just do the wrong thing. I don't want to be that person and with your help, hopefully I won't.
Your blog is amazing! I plan on being a frequent visitor.
Thank you for sharing your story and for writing your blog. I like the idea behind the start of your blog. It's important for you to be in charge of when and how you decide to share the intimate details of your life with others. I've learned a lot from reading your interview and will continue to follow your blog.

I am curious, how did they deal with your thyroid cancer when you were treated? How are you doing on your replacement? I hope you are well, but I know it doesn't work that way for everyone.
