Here's my
blog! For over two years now, I've been writing blog entries to help me cope with my often debilitating journey with Migraine disease. Through this venture, I've learned a lot about myself, I've been able to get my stress level lower due to my being able to have a creative, migraine-based outlet, and I've had the lucky occasion to help many other sufferers by providing readers with links, news updates, and good old-fashioned camaraderie…

If I cut my hair nobody would know me lol! Thankfully it's a lot lighter and thinner than it looks. Only causes me occasional migraine trouble. Used to be bad tho. Like you, I learned up is not necessarily good. I don't even put it up to go to sleep anymore.
I think you did a great job and are beautiful as ever. :)
I read your spotlight-- terrific! It's so good to "meet" you here.
You mention several things that interest me in particular- IRLEN lenses for one. Thankfully, I was able to find "my" color and it helped tremendously. While I do not use these lenses specifically, making the change from the typical blue-gray lenses to my brown lenses changed my life. I tried for contacts, but alas, I can't wear them, so am relegated to my big D&G sunglasses-- my funky disguise. :) All I need is the floppy hat and 70's garb and I'd look like an Austin Powers reject LOL!
I really would love to write a newsletter article about these lenses. I've suggested them many times, but have not yet found anyone who has used them, tho many seem interested to try.
I don't find that the color counteracts the flickering of the fluorescents, but it does help with the type/color of light produced that also is a trigger for me. Blue LED's will also set me off tho. Have you tried colored contacts?
Unfortunately, my house and my room are referred to as "the bat cave" as well. Only another migraineur can understand why total darkness is a refuge.
I look forward to learning more about how you handle your migraines. I will definitely check out your blog too!
