- Happily married for 29 years I have 3 grown girls and 3 grands opps! almost forgot I have 1 great-grand baby. Its hard to believe I am a gg mother. denial I suspect.
I have cervical dystonia with a tremor. This disorder has also brought about numerous other things that brought attention to my spine. I also have been newly dx with spinal spondylosis and spinal stenosis. I don't work any longer (disability), however I do sing in a barbershop quartet and chorus when I am able. I am afraid the dystonia is hampering that too as well. Oh well I guess that is life. One door may close, and another will open.

- Thanks so much for connecting with me... I live in Brazil and my english is not so good. I have a difficult to typing because the desease. The writer's cramp developed and committed to others functions as typing. I don't get to use the mouse and type with my right hand.

JOSE GARCIA said… - I have been Licensed in Acupuncture over 20 yrs.. I have found it to be inconsistent in treating Dystonia. However, I am academic and western trained. I have been to traditional Acupuncturists without any success.
Like everything in Dystonia, some treatments help some but not others. I have done Acup. on myself, a little uncomfortable, but at times I have noticed some decrease in pain and muscle spasm. Unfortunately for short periods of time. I seem to get better results when I needle myself.
You can give Acupuncture a try. It's safe. (as long as they know what they are doing) worse that can happen is that nothing happens. Again whomever you go to needs to be licensed and qualified.
This information is my personal opinion. I am pretty sure I am not licensed in your state.
