Ellen, Hey I miss talking with you, sorry I have had some other things latley....but I don't think the dystonia support group would be hurt or would hurt you in anyway, in my experience I have found.....most people have the same fears but everyone...

Deanna, Hi I have not been on this site for a few months but, when I first read your blog, I can totally understand. It is like, 'if people don't see you fall over or pass out' then they think you are totally fine. I am also very much on the same ...

More about me (my health interests and reasons for joining WEGO Health)
All in all I have to admitt I am a very lady. I have a wonderful husband who is a doctor. He is so supportive.

I have had migraines since I was 11. But they did not reach the level they are at until I was assaulted. At 21 they were at the point where they were uncontrolable.

GETTING THE HANG OF THIS

Well, for now I seem to really like this forum. I also see that people are talking about dystonia (which is something i have). My cervical dystonia makes my migraines just all the worst. But I like how everything is organized, I just need to get the hang of it. I would love to hear from any of you.

Hope you all have a pain free day

Lisa,

Thanks for your reply to my blog. I find even for this weekend, people want me to be here or there and I honestly don't want to be either. Don't know what I want except the thought of 'running away from everyone" at least for a few days sounds much more better then doing what everyone else wants from me including my loving husband.

Did you ever feel like 'I just want to be left alone". Not sure if its grasping that finally a doctor agreed of something being wrong with me or just lots of little things piled on top.

I tend to pull inside and isolate my husband. We had a agrument tonight even that I should be treating him better then I treat anyone else. Yet, I am so used to pleasing others outside these walls of home and telling them NO that will be judged by.

I feel lost. My nest is empty, my daughter who is 21 is not talking to me because of this guy she is pregnant by is threatend by us being close and her emails are plain out mean. My son is 18, living out of state too and I miss them both so much.

I am not one to curse but I really feel like saying a few words to let it all out.

Enough of me running on,
Deanna

Liz, Ning has my page goobered up. Hopefully it will be back to normal shortly. I've had a really bad few days. Neuro told me to go to the ER yesterday, but I hung in there. Barely. I do NOT want to end up there again, but am running out of options. Again. I was doing so good!

Hi Lisa
It's super easy to start a discussion thread. Go to the WEGO Health Migraine Group and then click "start a discussion" in the middle of the page. If you're logged in, you'll see a green plus sign. Cick that and then just start a messaage. We have another Migraine Newsletter coming out in a couple weeks so we can include your thread there to make sure everyone sees it. You could also start the thread and then add it to your own blog. Just a few ideas! Hope this helps.

Yes Megan, I would like to talk with you more as well. It is always great to speak with someone that does the same thing you do. Two heads are better than one

Thank you Megan. Yes you did clear it up. Your comment sounded as if a shrink has no business helping those with migraines if they have it themselves. Thank you so much for clearing that up. I always believe in communication so everyone was/is on the same page. Thank you! Best wishes to you! Hope you are having a pain free day!

Thank You Ellen so much for your kind words. I want to say something about being a therapist and having to deal with migraines.
1) You never 'advise' someone to do anything!
2) You tell them the positives and negatives of the choices they want to make.
3)They make the choice without judgment from you.
4) You are a constant support system
5)In dealing with a person with migraines you help them deal with the pain

Also I do not have that many migraine patients, afew, but I deal mostly in rape victims, and marriage and family.
I had a comment posted earlier that was not very clear, but I don't think it had the most kind tone. I just wanted to make clear what a psychologist does that has migraines.

Thanks for stopping by my page. I loved what you said about "picky brains." That sums it up fairly well!
