I got my seasonal flu shot back in September. I will get my H1N1 as soon as they start dishing them out at work.

WOW I am really sorry. I don't understand why that is even an issue for a physician. I know a lot of great neurologists in the Boston area but none in New Jersey. Good luck with your search :(

I'm all for it. Giving the parents a chance to opt in is a nice touch.

I can't recall the source, but I remember that the exercise blew the rest of the factors out of the water. Which is good because factors like having children younger and breastfeeding for up to a year are sort of really hard to do.

Perhaps they considered unethical to provide no information, however they could have just educated them correctly during the debriefing.

I'm not really sure what that study shows, it might be interesting if there was a group who received NO education on the benefits for males and just for the women. If that was the same as the other two, then we wouldn't really need to be worrying ...

Little about me

I work in clinical research, coordinating a few neurosurgery trials. My department focuses on aneurysms, and they also have a foundation to raise awareness about aneurysms. Hopefully I can help add my perspective to the community as a researcher.

Another area of interest is raising awareness in women about heart disease and stroke. I've lead a team with the Boston HeartWalk (which also has proceeds go to stroke research) for the past 3 years.

Recently I've reached out to my online community about safer sex, providing information and starting a dialogue so others could share information. It was really well received and I was happy that I might have helped some people. I felt safer sex practices needed to be presented in a sex positive way.
