Janeen replied to a-migraineur's discussion 'Astrocytoma' in the group Cancer
I don't have any experience with this, but I wanted to say that I am praying for your DIL. I am sorry for her diagnosis.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of brain cancer? My DIL was just diagnosed.

My dear DIL was diagnosed with a stage 3 astrocytoma yesterday. I don't know much about this kind of tumor, but from what I have read, the outcome is not good. Does anyone have experience with this kind of tumor?

Do you have personal experience with cancer? Discuss the latest news, research and treatment. Patients, caregivers, families and loved ones are all welcome.

I'm so glad you've found a doc that you're apparently clicking with - she's a keeper! What is her take on Fibro? maybe nailing her down specifically on that point will help you decide how to proceed.

I love that you're leaning on your faith. Sometimes I'm stubborn and it isn't until everything has been stripped from me that I get on my knees. I'm trying hard to reconnect with that part of myself because I feel so much better when I remember there is purpose in what I'm going thru and what I'm doing. I wear a silver bracelet with one of my favorite verses on it: 2 Corinthians 12:10 I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Hang in there. Keep in touch and let me know how you're doing, okay? I know I'll be thinking of you a lot this week.

Janeen,
Thanks for the comment. I have enjoyed the process and I think this interview is the first time I have been able to explain how migraine affects me and my life.

Wow Debbie, have you started with any preventives? That is a lot of Triptans in a month. You can rebound off Triptans as well as other meds. Are you seeing a headache specialist?

Welcome Debbie!

I'm so glad you found us at WEGO Health. I hope you'll find something interesting and come back to visit often.

You've been doing this for 7 years yourself. What is the best advice you were ever given about living with Migraines?

Ellen
