I have been involved with physio for about 4 years. It has helped much with maintaining flexion, relieving pain, balance problems. I do some weight training, with much stretching, massage, balance work. It does take a lot of time & at my age (55) ...

try soaking in epsom salts, or scented bath salts. Much better for you skin & the salts actually soak toxins away.

In the online health communities I participate in, I'm:
not really sure where I fit yet
More about me (my health interests and reasons for joining WEGO Health)
I have segmental dystonia, dxed in 1989, when I was 36. Right hand tremor, right hand writers cramp, CT, facial spasms. Scoliosis is in the mix, I don't walk without my cane, bad balance.
I am involved in intensive physio & osteopathy work. This will, hopefully, improve my balance, straighten my back a bit. My dystonia is genetic..my younger sister was dxed at 5 years, in the 60s.
My clinicians are impressed with flexibility & muscle tone & this makes them optimistic. I am willing to try anything & do. I had Deenervation surgery in 1993, & do not recommend it. I no longer get Botox shots. I use 1200 mgs of gabapentin & 1 1/2 mgs of clonazepan. I use Ibuprofen for pain relief. I am very lucky. I know my symptoms could be much worse & I am proud of the bit of independance I have been able to build back up to. I like to be as active a possible & I love to power nap the afternoon away when necessary.

Your welcome !

The tree wouldn't be complete without a red cardinal on it !
It's a honour to have you on the tree !
I'm glad you enjoyed the puppet image as well !

Take care

P.S. The tree might be "bent & twisted" ... but not broke !

No worries, Elvie. I made it up quickly, I'[m not used to "user name" yet, or forums, ffor that matter. I usually am a Facebook gal. Thanks for the welcome. I did post the site on my Facebook page.
