Yeah, I've given up regular lap swimming too. I had off and on problems from a "bad neck" from C5 disc - but got around this by using a mask and snorkel. I really like it because I could do crawl stroke but not have to turn neck to breath. Later whe…

I have found two types of exercise that work well for me. Initially when the focal dystonia started the only thing I could do was warm water therapy. It is very important that the water is warm - ideally 93 degrees. This keeps the muscles more rela…

Nice to have a fellow swimmer in the group! Sure hope I can continue to swim- some docs say yes, some say no. Are you really an ER MD (emergency room Doc) ? Would be so nice if more docs knew more about Dystonia!

Welcome to WEGO Health dysERMD!

What brings you to our growing community of Health Activists? I love to see more Librarians (like myself) joining the community! It's great to see you jumping right into groups!

I encourage you to check out some of our otherGroupsand join any that may peak your interest. Groups are a wonderful place to ask questions, join discussions, and engage with others who have similar interests. My personal favorite is the Women's Health group - feel free to join, it's an excellent resource!

Discussion threads and blog posts are other great ways to get your questions answered while introducing yourself to the community! I look forward to hearing from you more!

Stay well :)
