- I am a type 1 diabetic; I was diagnosed with this disease 26 years ago. I have recently started to gain some weight and was searching for an on-line resource when I came across wego. I am looking forward to sharing recipes and getting some good advice.

One of my friends as a young child had Type I Diabetes. We were on a swim team together. I remember rooming with her at meets and the constant testing and injections and the care the family took of her to be sure that she stayed healthy. She made an impression on me that has stuck all these years. With a history of Type II in my family, I take Diabetes seriously.
I am really interested in recipes for Diabetics! Both my kids are insulin resistant and I know we can keep a good handle on this if we are careful. Yummy recipes are not always easy to find tho...
