Hey! I was just at your blog reading about your bikes. My daughter is getting ready to buy a bike to use at the University. She'll have about a 1/2 mile ride on a pea gravel drive, then the roads about another 3-4 miles. We want a good one that rides well or she won't use it, but not one that will cost an arm and a leg in case it is stolen off the racks. It needs to be lightweight. We're visiting the bike store in about 2 weeks. What do you recommend, or do you think she should look at? Thanks!
Hi Sue,
Glad to see you made it here. Love the picture too!
Thank you so much for being a part of the spotlight interview series. Your story is one that needs to get out there and I really think your experiences will benefit others. Your blog is amazing as are you.
Your blog is hilarious! I've happened on it before, but took a little more time to read it tonight. Not that many people have hemicrania continua, and fewer are able to keep their sense of humor as you seem to have been able to. I SO understand so much of what you write and am so glad you are sharing it.
I was also Dx'd with this as well as a couple of other headache types. I saw you're a righty- mine's on the left. They gave me a last option of nerve stimulators which I've not yet really seriously considered. The really sucky days are the ones when you get hit with everything at once.
You've been thru so much with the shunt, etc. Hang in there girl!
I hope you can take some time and share a little about hemicrania continua and your experience with Diagnosis etc. I personally think that this is probably under-diagnosed.
Let me know if you need any help finding anything etc.
I'm so glad to finally "meet" someone else with HC.
