Ellen S Oral Tezampanel for Migraine and chronic pain - update 2/11/09

New information is out on a totally new drug currently in trials, and so far it's looking good. In a double blind, placebo controlled trial of 20 people, the drug dubbed NGX426, (an oral form of Tezampanel) was well tolerated in healthy males and females who were dosed once daily over five days. Ellen S The role of glutamate in Migraine - a study

Glutamate is an amino acid family. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and as such are vital to our survival. When talking about Migraine, glutamate has not been significantly studied yet, although its role is acknowledged as crucial. Glutamate blocking medication trials are cur… Continue

In The Block Theory, each trigger is worth a specific number of building blocks... y… Continue

Ellen S Tame Migraines with special aids

I'm peacefully asleep, dreaming blissfully of happy things, when suddenly an intruder as loud as a fire engine on steroids interrupts the scene. My eyelids fly up like flapping window shades and my heart skips several beats before taking off as fast and loud as my Mustang down the highway. (Okay, like I only wish I could drive my Mustang down the highway!) Hubby leaps out of bed and I roll over to take stock of the morning wondering if my heart will ever slow down and the adrenaline will… Continue

Ellen S Vacationing with dolphins, bright LED lights, and my migraine hero
