My birth control blog research has begun! The first blog I found was definitely a WEGOHealth-worthy birth control blog.
Birth Control Pills Review tags themselves with "Birth Control & Oral Contraceptives News, Products & Review" and provides researchers and readers exactly what they say they would.
Like every blog, there are some fantastic and some not-as-fantastic things about the website. I like lists, so I'll share my list with you!
Pros of
Birth Control Pills Review
* Catchy titles like
John McCain Hates Birth Control and
Hormonal Manipulation & You. Those alone should make you want to check out the blog!
* A clearly labeled table of contents, showing a wide variety of posts
* Specific knowledge about certain brands of birth control including
Alesse - a monophasic birth control pill
* Blogs specifically dedicated to birth control in the news:
Smoking & the pill. New study suggests a higher risk to health,
College students may get lower prices for birth control pills and
Birth control patch legal battle rages on.
Cons of
Birth Control Pills Review
* I felt like there was lots of advertising on the site. While I understand that blogs oftentimes need to make money, I was almost overwhelmed by the amount of advertising.
* Links on the site included links to ordering birth control online. I didn't follow them but am concerned that birth control pills should be prescribed by a physician, not ordered online.
* Only Alesse, Desogen, Levlen, Mircette,
Ortho Tri Cyclen and Ovral are specifically mentioned on the page. I wish there were more mainstream birth control pills mentioned on the page.
Overall, this page absolutely gets my recommendation. The fact that this site has news, product reviews as well as up-to-date information makes it a great resource for those looking at
birth control pill information. Check it out and let me know what you think about it; I'd love to hear your opinion!
