Mark your calendar for World Alzheimer's Day, September 21, 2008. It's all about raising awareness for Alzheimer's disease!

You can visit the Alzheimer's Association website to learn how to make a difference, or keep right on reading!

Here's what you can do to help make a difference in the work place:

Go purple!
Ask your workforce to wear purple on Friday, Sept. 19 or Monday, Sept. 22 to raise awareness.
Why not combine a Go Purple Day with Casual for a Cause or another fundraiser?

Get grounded in the fight against Alzheimer's
What: A morning coffee break (ask your local coffee shop to donate the coffee).
How: Offer a cup for a small donation.
Ask employees to "get grounded" in the facts about Alzheimer's on the Alzheimer's Association site.

Educate your employees and co-workers
Use World Alzheimer’s Day to educate your employees and co-workers about Alzheimer's. Let them know you care about the cause.

Lastly, if you need help getting the word out in the workplace, check out the Alzheimer's Association's website. They have resources available to help get you started. Become a workplace champion today!
