Operation Alzheimer's

Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or dementia? You might agree that one of the biggest challenges facing dementia and Alzheimer's caregivers is lack of support. In addition to these nonprofit organizations, even the government is hopping on board. The Alabama state government recently approved an Alzheimer's task force which will include an Alzheimer's patient, caregiver and researcher. Those affected by Alzheimer's will undoubtedly applaud the efforts of Alabama to systematically assess how this growing disease is affecting it's citizens. Integrated approaches such as these are critical for advancing our understanding of the life-changing effects of Alzheimer's as well as furthering our knowledge its causes.
