Type 2 diabetics are sharing their lives in many creative ways, including through photography. A new photo exhibit called Meet the Face of Change is traveling to six U.S. cities this spring and summer. It features photos of individuals living with type 2 diabetes, and each picture tells the story of the lifestyle changes the subject is making to cope with the disease. Even if you can’t make it to the exhibit, check out the web site, which features some of these great shots. Who knows, maybe they’ll inspire you to make some changes of your own!

For an even more personal look into diabetics’ lives, check out the Diabetes 365 and Diabetes Made Visible groups on the photo-sharing site flickr. The groups’ members post photos depicting their lives with diabetes. Many of the members have type 1, but there are also some great sets of photos by type 2 diabetics, including daena c. and betizuka.

How have you shared your diabetes experience with others?
