It got cold here!! That is not unusual for Ohio but I was really enjoying our temperatures in the 40's and 50's F. But winter is just a few weeks away and the temps have dropped to the 20's and 30's now and it makes a big difference. For me, my skin gets very dry and eventually will crack and bleed. I also have some trouble with eczema that clears up when the temps are warm. This is all a minor discomfort for me and not at all life threatening. But what if cold weather is your asthma trigger?
While reading
Kerri's post called BRRRR..... I was reminded that cold weather can be a lot more than just a minor discomfort.
Kerri points to
Danielle's blog post "Asthma tip from a polar bear" for a great suggestion for helping if you have a cold weather asthma trigger.
A great article for why cold weather may trigger asthma and other suggestions on how to control it can found at the
Cold weather can trigger asthma page on the CHOW website.
In Ali's post from

What tips can you share for controlling your cold weather asthma attacks? Have you ever just stayed home because it was just too cold outside for your asthmatic lungs?

Tuesdays are your turn, share your triggers. - The thing I find remarkable about this post (besides the amount of actual triggers) is that for most people, cold weather seems to be a trigger, but Asthma Mom moved her family north from Florida because the warm, humid weather was a trigger for her daughter.
