Thanks guys! I thought I would write something more essay/opinion style rather than personal experience or article of interest posts. Not that I can escape the personal experience of it!

Nikki, I'm so glad that you shared these with us. I read them all and sent Invisible in the World to a few of my friends who harass me when I cancel on them because I'm hurting. I'm hoping your words will add to my own words and they will one day understand my issues a little better! Thank you!

Nikki,

These blog entries are phenomenal. So well thought-out and said. I wish my family and my docs would take the time to consider what you have so concisely written. I blogged about the lack of communication between docs and patients a couple of times:

Head pain or head games- the work toward understanding pain
Scans reveal signs of possible disease- do you want to be told?

Pain is so personal. So subjective. I'm not sure why it is so misunderstood and ignored. Those who have chronic pain issues will no-doubt have several light bulb moments upon reading your entries. Those "a-ha" moments when the feelings that have been rattling about in your head have suddenly been given a voice. Hopefully those that are not chronic pain patients will have even more light bulb moments as they begin to understand pain psychology.

Fabulous entries and I'm so glad you shared them with us! Thank you, thank you!
