Ellen posted a great blog entry about the connection between migraines and endometriosis and it gave me an idea; SHARE it! Her post describes the many coinciding symptoms between this common women's health problem and migraines.

Quickly: endometriosis is the growth of endometrium tissue outside the uterus. Tissue that looks (and acts) like uterine lining grows on or under the ovaries, behind the uterus, on the tissues that hold the uterus and on the bowels and bladder.

I've collected a handful of blogs and posts about endometriosis in hopes of increasing awareness and acceptance of such a widely glossed-over condition!

We Are Endo - a large support group for those living with endometriosis. Browse through the articles, the forum posts or the blogs specifically geared to endometriosis patients.

I am not endo - a young woman living with stave 4 endometriosis journals her life to share experiences and encourage others

Endometriosis blog - a blog dedicated specifically to what endometriosis is and the ways that it can be treated

End Endometriosis - an active endometriosis outreach blog

Extragenital endometriosis - a very thorough explanation of what endometriosis is and the theories behind it.

Understanding endometriosis - a very detailed blog post explaining endometriosis. Very easy to read and understand.

Wow, what a great load of resources! Thank you so much! The only thing I'd really like to add is that endometrial tissue/endometriosis can be found anywhere in the body. Pick your favorite body part, add the word endometriosis and and do a google search for some surprising results!

I wish I would have had these kinds of resources available to me back in the dark ages when I was trying to learn about all of this. SarahLiz, you're awesome! Thank you. I'll be passing this link along...

Awesome resources Sarah! I wanted to add that one of our featured activists this month Jeanneendo does a lot of work and advocacy for those dealing with endometriosis. Her blog is also a great resource, which is linked on her profile page!
