For These Things I Am Thankful

Thank you...

Rarely do these words feel adequate to me. When I want to express deep gratitude I am never satisfied with the only words I have..."thank you." I've been know to say these words repeatedly with great emphasis to drive my point home, to sometimes utter the words "thank you" too many times (it's awkward after a while, really), or even to be just plain awestruck and unable to eek the words out of my jaw dropped mouth because "thank you" doesn't seem to be enough.

But here I go, this November I say thank you...

Thank you to WEGO Health, my launching pad and also my home base. Thank you for your community, your encouragement, your belief in me and the endless support. When I say too much, or say it just right, you are still there with me. Thank you for the support you give other communities, for your philanthropy and for bringing Health Activists together. Thank you for empowering me.

Thank you to the members of WEGO Health. Without you, the members and contributors, the Health Activists, who make this community come alive, I would feel quite lonely. I thank you for reading my posts, contributing to discussions, for participating. I thank you for sharing your hearts and passions through your own communities and via your own posts. When I write here, I write for you, thank you for accepting what I have to offer.

Thank you social media (special hats off to Twitter). Thank you for connecting me to resources and people I never even dreamed of being connected to. Thank you for fostering education, empowerment and better health for me and my family. Because of the "power of me" that I found by utilizing social media, I am healthier, more confident and have more hope than I had prior to working with you. It is because of you that I am largely able to be a Health Activist, and for that, I cannot thank you enough.
