Thank you, HIV Health Activists!

In late December and early January, WEGO Health hosted a series of HIV Insight Groups on behalf of one of our sponsors. We had over thirty HIV patients, caregivers and researchers join us and share their experiences and expertise as members of the online HIV community.

Thanks to the time and participation of these Health Activists, WEGO Health was able to donate over $800 to amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. amfAR is committed to furthering research into HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention. To date, amfAR has funded over 2,000 research grants.

I'm particularly interested to see the work that comes out of one of their newest proposals: "Applying social networking information technologies to the prevention of HIV infection"
