WEGO Health Podcast: Interview with Leslea Harmon of AllergyWare

This week, I'll be speaking with Leslea about life as an allergy mom and her site AllergyWare. If you're not familiar with her site, you should absolutely check it out. Tons of amazing resources for people living with food allergies.

We'll be publishing the interview as a podcast here on WEGO Health, so I'd love to make this a community effort and get your input! If you have any questions you'd like to ask Leslea, please leave them in the comments section, or shoot me an email: mariec@wegohealth.com

I have a question/idea but it doesn't really relate to me since my food allergies include celery, melon and yellow dye #5, so I don't know if it'll come out right.

It would be interesting to go through a basic run down of major foods that have many different names which could produce an allergic reaction. For example :: there are a lot of people who are gluten intolerant (which I first typed as glutton intolerant ... after eating a brownie ... nom nom ... okay, back to business), but "GLUTEN" isn't on the list of ingredients of anything, so people have to be aware of what gluten is and how it can be classified. Sugar has the same issue - three dozen names for one single ingredient. Are there other foods in the same situation that people with food allergies should be aware of?

I hope that made sense.
