I have dealt with migraines since the teen years. I actually tried Bio-Feedback at one time to try and get a handle on them at around 16. Interesting how mind over matter works in some instances, and I have taken this into my life every day for when modern medicine does not work what else can their be.

Sorry if I sounded a bit blunt or synically about that CoQ-10 thing. I have been given the "run around" so many times by doc and insurance who don't want to pay for stuff that I am sick of it and don't want it to happen to others. I will reply to the CoQ-10 with some more info later :)

Good to hear from you after so long! Have been busy with my parents here. They are returning back to Kuwait this afternoon.
Oil painting, you say? WOW! But you can never ruin one. No chance - why? It is one of the most forgiving medium - unlike water or even acrylic to an extent.
The beauty is that if you make mistakes, you can correct them for days and months afterwards since it takes months for an oil to dry!
I think you can make the tremble in your hands a unique opportunity to paint - don't restrict the tremble - let it happen and see how and what type of unique texture only you can give your painting!! put a SPIN on it - Painting is sooo therapeutic for me.
My oils have all been shifted back to our home at New Delhi last December (2007). Have just 1 impressionist one here - of a lady and there's one in progress. Will upload it shortly:-)

I am just learning this web site, as well as the computer.As to the question with the migraine yes,they absolutely come with the aura, but not always we may get the symptoms but not the headache its a hit and miss.not too many people get auras as they are a rare. 90% get the other migraines and 10% have auras. people think that there is no difference,but as through my experience there is for sure.
I have 6 horses. My mare whom I show in the hunters is a solid Paint, I also have a TB, a grade, a Tenessee Walker, and two welsh cross ponies. I am a professor of equine studies at a local college, so horses have always been a major part of my life, been riding since I was 5, showed extensivley in the hunters and eq.
Yes ....exciting! But, man all of the stuff to know about how this happens and what to look out for. Holy smokes!!!! The hostile mucous has given me both the giggles (the immature child in me) and curiousity. I never thought I would be looking at ways to increase the chances of pregnancy.....it is a strange world my friend.

Hi Ellen! I'm especially looking forward to working with you within the migraine community. I've been managing migraines most of my life. My primary triggers: stress and anxiety. Luckily, music is a lovely distraction. Typically I opt for something rather mellow. In fact, the Liberia Boys Choir (album: Luminosa) is beautiful and soothing as is Ray LaMontagne (either of his past albums)...plus he's fun. Can't wait to see what you put together! Be well.
I also inherited a genetic cesspool. Wonderful people with really lousy DNA! No one except myself, has ever hamed Parkinson's or dystonia. Lucky me! I take Stalevo which is a combo of sinement and entacapone along with a plethera of other meds. Unfortunately mine is severe. I hope your condition does not progress.
