Good Evening, Lene! Thanks so much for connecting with me on my first day and in becoming 'friends.' I don't much of anything about Dystonia, but now I will learn. And, perhaps in doing so be of service to someone along the way.

I look forward to getting to know you better and being of whatever support that I may be. Never hesitate, my new friend. Do stay in touch!

Many Blessings!

I have been Licensed in Acupuncture over 20 yrs.. I have found it to be inconsistent in treating Dystonia. However, I am academic and western trained. I have been to traditional Acupuncturists without any success.

Like everything in Dystonia, some treatments help some but not others. I have done Acup. on myself, a little uncomfortable, but at times I have noticed some decrease in pain and muscle spasm. Unfortunately for short periods of time. I seem to get better results when I needle myself.

You can give Acupuncture a try. It's safe. (as long as they know what they are doing) worse that can happen is that nothing happens. Again whomever you go to needs to be licensed and qualified.

This information is my personal opinion. I am pretty sure I am not licensed in your state.

Best Jose

Hi Eileene, Thanks for your comment on my pic. It was taken the night of my 40th class reunion. The first one I've attennded since graduating. What a blast I had. Probably a little boring for Tom but he found people to talk too. My best freind from childhood was there from Maine and we hhad fun talking about our childhood and whatever. She was also my Maid of Honor at our wedding 40 years ago. Oh my where does the time go? Love ya, Sheilla

Hi Lene !

Hope all is well with you and you had a pleasant weekend !

I wanted to let you know that I just deactivated my account with Facebook ... don't really care for it too much !
I find there is far too much of everything !
I guess it's great for some people but I don't really feel a use for it ...
not at this moment in my life anyway.
Perhaps one day I'll return to it and if you are still on I'll add you on again !

There is just so many other things right now that I should really be concentrating on.

In the meantime I'll keep in touch as always here.

Take care

I'm glad to hear that you got the medical attention that you needed !
And I do hope that your pain has subsided or even better ... gone !

I do have problems with my spine as well and perhaps think it wise to go consult with my doctor as I can't stand this pain anymore !

Take care Lene

Hi Lene !

Thanks so very much for commenting on my blog and your kind words. It makes me feel good to know that through my blogs I can perhaps touch one's soul if not through words than through my art.

Through this most recent blog I was trying as best as I can to capture the "feeling" of Dystonia !

I'm trying as best as I can as well ... to spread "awareness" in my own little way !

How is your singing voice ?

Hope you are doing well.

I thought I would place your pic on the very top of the tree on my other pic ... it's the perfect spot !

Take care Lene

Hi Lene,

I tried to add you as a friend on MySpace but it didn't seem to work. Comnputers would drive you mad lol.

With regard to dystonia international it is always useful to have those who will take the time to answer questions , especially from new members.

It is easy to join, just go to the website and follow the instructions

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Dystonia-International/summary

Unlike Wego our group is closed ie, the posts cannot be googled and anything you write is confidential to the group.

Best!
