Thyroid cancer 1981. Now dealing with breast cancer diagnosed in 2007. Been through chemo and radiation. Now I have all sorts of digestive issues as well including a hiatal hernia and a lovely little gallstone.
Hi, Caroline.
Thank you for sharing your story and for writing your blog. I like the idea behind the start of your blog. It's important for you to be in charge of when and how you decide to share the intimate details of your life with others. I've learned a lot from reading your interview and will continue to follow your blog.
Good luck with everything and happy vay-kay-shun to you!
Hi Caroline - making a blog to communicate with friends and family about your treatment, doctors visits, etc is a great idea. I remember that was one of the things that irritated my mom during her many rounds of chemo -- the constant phone calls. Well that and the fact that everyone treated her like she couldn't do anything for herself anymore.
I have that pesky sensitive skin like you are talking about, though strangely my skin was never sensitive until I got pregnant. Now I find that using a bandaid, tape, certain lotions, etc will cause an awful rash. I can't tell you how many times I've heard contact dermatitis since then.
Good luck with your doctor's appointments this week. I hope that you hear "all is well" from your doctors so you can have a nice stress free vacation. Thank you for doing a spotlight interview and sharing a little of yourself with us :)
Welcome to WEGO Health! I'm so glad you've joined us!
Please let me know if there's anything I can help you with. I don't always have the answers but I usually know where to go to get them. :)
I am curious, how did they deal with your thyroid cancer when you were treated? How are you doing on your replacement? I hope you are well, but I know it doesn't work that way for everyone.
Hang in there. We're a new group-- just getting started, but the people here are just super supportive and great to know. Please join in wherever you can.
