About me

I'm an Online Community Moderator for WEGO Health, specifically in the Skin & Beauty, Women's Health, Sleep Disorders, and Pregnancy & Infertility Communities.

I am also a professional writer, editor, proofreader, and community builder/moderator. I'm the owner of Temlyn Writing & Editing Services (www.temlynwriting.com), which provides writing & editing services for various clients, as well as the Editor-in-Chief of All About Musicals (http://musicals.temlynwriting.com) and Writers Remember (www.writersremember.com).

I've been involved in building online communities since 1998, when I started moderating IRC chat rooms. I went on to moderate and build communities on Yahoo Groups & LiveJournal communities (both of which I still do), and became a Super Moderator at a popular beauty forum for a duration.

In addition to working part-time at building the community here at WEGO Health, I'm currently a moderator at AbsoluteWrite.com, and an administrator (and editor-in-chief) at WritersRemember.com. I recently completed a contract with Wetpaint.com, where I was a senior moderator at three of their wiki communities based on books from Sasquatch Publishing (Book Lust with Nancy Pearl, How to Date, and Should I Do What I Love?), as well as Wetpaint Central). I still volunteer my time there because I love Wetpaint.

I am interested in many health-related issues, having dealt with quite a few throughout my life. My specialized interests & experiences include Mental Health (anxiety, depression, Bipolar/Cyclothymia) and Women's Health (breast issues, bleeding issues). I also have a family history of heart problems, so you'd better believe I'll be spending lots of time in our Heart Health forums!

I am always learning, and enjoy helping others through their medical crises.
