- I love my job - love it! Here's a pithy bullet list of reasons why. I love my job because:
*I get to walk to work
*I get to hire, train and manage the smartest bunch of health expert researchers - the folks who build WEGO Health's Topic pages.
*I get to figure out what makes a great page, a bad page, or just a shrug page.
*I get to work with Jen, Adrienne, Marie, Ziv, Jack, Kim, Jennifer, Dominique, Richard, Joey...
*I get to help my colleagues write great messaging copy - and even add periods to the ends of their sentences!
*I get to build joke health pages like Sex and Eliot Spitzer and the Bubble Gum Diet (neither of which i've had time to finish, sadly).
*I get to post WEGO Health links on DIGG with headlines like this: "Minty fresh birth control - what next, cherry?"
*I get to guess what people want before they even know they want it. Rush!
Bio stuff:
A long-time reporter, editor, columnist (deadline slave), I've written a lot about the tools and technologies that transform work and life. My startup adventures include business development and communications for a systems integrator company for distributed work (aka - how to monetize fuzzy slipper telework) . I also had the great privilege to serve as communications director for ALS TDI, a nonprofit biotech seeking effective treatments for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) - same folks who run the great Health 2.0 Web site Patients Like Me.

Our eureka moment
Like any nimble, clever startup, we've spent the past several months figuring out who we want to be, and how to best contribute to the world of online health.
You'd expect our journey to demand plenty of hours locked up in stuffy conference rooms scribbling workflow diagrams, prioritizing lists, butting heads, heading out for more Diet Coke and starting again - all of it, sure.

Enrichment Seminar: Social Media for Health Advocates
I think a few of you know Vanessa DiMauro, a community building consultant here at WEGO Health. She runs a company called Leader Networks.

WEGO Health Editorial Team Call for Collaboration - Diabetes
For the next three weeks the WEGO Health Research team will be building out diabetes content on the public WEGO Health site. We are looking for Opinion Leaders in the greater diabetes community who want to help guide the team's research and focus.
